Absolutely beautiful rare hat. Besides being a very hard to find "Crusher", the piping is the even harder to find recon branch. It is the beautiful rust/copper brown color. The hat is also in great condition. There are a few very minor areas of wear. A superb centerpiece for a high end collection.

This is perhaps the most unique flag it's ever been my honor to offer. It is for the Soccer Club in the town of Plattling in Bavaria. The obverse contains the normal swastika symbol as well as a soccer ball and the club service symbol. The reverse contains a red and black diagonal background and an absolutely beautiful embroidered city of Plattling crest. It also indicates the club was established in 1919. While the flag has some significant mothing near the soccer ball, it is still simply a gorgeous unique piece.
An interesting bit of trivia is that it appears the soccer club is still in existence and is proud of advertising the fact the club has been in existence since 1919. As an additional FYI, Plattling was a stronghold of NSDAP loyalty with a very interesting history during the Third Reich period.
Truly a one-of-a-kind find.

COA From Mr. Thomas M. Durante:
Unmarked Luftwaffe Pilot badge, but commonly attributed to the Ludenscheid-based firm of Friedrich Linden. A mid-to-late war example, with the wreath and eagle being made from Zinc. The eagle was appropriately darkened and was additionally fmished with a protective lacquer that has aged and toned over the years giving it a greenish! yellow appearance. The reverse hardware setup is typical "FLL" production, with a "lazy" block hinge lying on its side, and round-wire catch soldered directly to the zinc wreath; an uncommon feature to find with zinc-based badges but a common production technique attributed to the Friedrich Linden firm. The large, bulbous rivets are also typical of this maker, and appropriately made from zinc to match the base metal Ofthe eagle. The described and pictured piece is an original example of this award. Size, weight and dimensions are correct to known examples. This documents a lifetime guarantee on the above details and is accurate based on the information available to date.

Luftwaffe Pilot Badge by the Berg & Nolte firm of Ludenscheid. A textbook, early example by this maker with a Nickel Silver wreath and Silver-plated Brass eagle. As is typical with this maker, the eagle is darkened with an artificial oxidation layer, while the wreath has a frosted silver finish. The yellowish/red discoloration on the wreath is the result of aging of the clear protective lacquer that B&NL applied to its badges, and is a feature commonly seen specifically on Luftwaffe badges by this firm. The reverse hardware setup and rivets are also typical of this maker, however the catch has been replaced. Berg & Nolte's maker mark is included on the reverse of the eagle in the normal fashion. ' The described and pictured piece is an original example of this award. Size, weight and dimensions are correct to known examples. This documents a lifetime guarantee on the above details and is accurate based on the information available to date.

Unmarked Luftwaffe Paratrooper badge, but commonly attributed to the Lüdenscheidbased firm of Friedrich Linden. A textbook example of a Type "C" badge as shown in the Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge book, with a 1st Pattern eagle and 2nd Pattern wreath. Both the wreath and eagle are made from zinc, including the rivets which are characteristically large and bulbous; a signature feature of this maker's Luftwaffe badges. The reverse hardware setup is also typical, with a "lazy" block hinge lying on its side, and thick-wire catch sitting on an oval base plate. The wreath's dark finish is almost completely intact, with minimal wear to the high points. The eagle's gold finish is also mostly intact, but has dulled over time. The described and pictured piece is an original example of this award. Size, weight and dimensions are correct to known examples. This documents a lifetime guarantee on the above details and is accurate based on the information available to date.

Luftwaffe Observer Badge by the Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. A textbook mid-tolate wartime example by this maker with an eagle and wreath made from zinc. The reverse hardware setup is typical of Assmann's later-war, zinc-based production with flattened, "pancake" rivets, small barrel hinge and flat wire catch sitting on a round base plate. The reverse of the eagle harbor's Assmann's characteristic "flat-footed" maker mark. The eagle still retains much of its darkened finish, but appears chalky, typical of later-war "economy" finishes by this maker. The wreath's silver finish has largely dissipated despite the protective lacquer, only remaining on the non-zinc parts of the reverse such as the hinge, pin and catch. A relatively rare badge to find compared with early, nickel-silver Assmann Observers. The described and pictured piece is an original example of this award. Size, weight and dimensions are correct to known examples. This documents a lifetime guarantee on the above details and is accurate based on the information available to date.

Textbook Luftwaffe Radio Operator/Airgunner badge, by the well known Lüdenscheidbased firm of Wilhelm Deumer. A representative mid-to-late war example, the wreath and eagle are both made from zinc, including the rivets which are correctly ovalshaped; characteristic of Deumer's later-war production. The reverse hardware setup is also typical, with a slender block hinge sitting on an oval base plate and thick-wire catch on a circular base plate. The pin, with its flattened spine is also a signature of "Deumer" production. The reverse of the eagle carries the correct, wartime Deumer maker mark. All in all, a nice unmessed with original with nice layer of patina and honest wear. The described and pictured piece is an original example of this award. Size, weight and dimensions are correct to known examples. This documents a lifetime guarantee on the above details and is accurate based on the information available to date.

Very nice cased vaulted WWI Cross with it's original award document. It is fully vaulted. The cross has some wear but is in great shape. A good bit of the core paint has worn enough to develop a beautiful brownish patina. The pin is stamped 800 for silver content. There is no separation on the cross. The document indicated the cross was awarded June 4th 1918. It is hand written with the official regimental stamp for the 15th Landwehr Regiment. The diamond hatch pattern does have some outer wear as can be seen but is fully intact with the hinge and clip fully functional. The hinge fabric is also 100% with no separation or tears. Nice nice piece with great use character & no damage. W = 42.0 mm
